The Pike 2 Bike is located in both Bedford and Fulton Counties and many other biking opportunities are available to riders.

Road Rides

Bedford county has about 30 different road rides and is adding more all of the time. These range from 10 flat miles to a 4 state 3 mountain century (100 miles). The rides start at various places in the county but most of the rides start and stop at Grouseland.  Click here for a list and description of the rides. PDFs are available for download and printing.

Fulton County is in the process of getting road rides and they will soon be available here.

C and O Canal

Hancock

30 miles south of Breezewood on I-70 is Hancock MD. This is a popular stop for both the C and O Canal tow path and the Western MD RR, Rails to Trail paved trail. This is an excellent compliment to the Pike 2 Bike. Two completely different trails only 30 miles apart which make for a great weekend of biking. Do one on each day and spend the rest of your time enjoying the other fun activities in both counties.

Cumberland MD

Cumberland MD is the western terminus of the C and O Canal. Here you will find Canal Place with it's shops and Art Gallery, only a short distance from the Western MD Rail Road. If you want, you can catch a steam train to Frostburg.

Mountain biking

Blue Knob. Trails both in the State Park and at the Ski Resort.

Green Ridge. A 12 mile loop through the mountains is a challenging and fun ride. Several easy outs.
